Let’s make an impact!

At Kari Traa, we talk a lot about ‘impact’. But what does this really mean, and how can we be sure that it’s not just full of empty words? For starters, we see impact as having at least two sides.

We recognize that running a global brand comes with great responsibility. But it also opens up a wealth of opportunities. We see our brand as a platform for change, complete with a voice and a loudspeaker that can be used to help further empower women all around the world.

Similarly, by remaining curious and creative, we’re able to regularly reimagine the products we create. This way, we continually design durable, innovative gear that stands up to the challenges of your adventures, season after season.

For us, this counts as positive impact.

Yet we’re also fully clear on the fact that producing the garments we need to thrive in the outdoors can leave

negative

impacts. But we choose not to shy away from or sugarcoat these challenges; we face them head-on. Whether it’s reducing climate emissions, ensuring safe and fair labor conditions, or championing animal welfare, we adopt a systematic approach to reduce our negative impacts.

As we continue on this journey towards a summit-less peak, we’re not only determined - we’re embracing the challenge! And we know that we’re not acting alone. This is a collective effort, a community working together. We hope that as a member of this community, you too will join us on this adventure.
