Kari Traa is a women´s outdoor active brand, born in the Norwegian mountains and built on a simple belief: women should never have to compromise on performance, personality, or style.

When Kari Traa won Olympic gold in moguls in 2002, she was already one of the world’s best. Yet she was missing something fundamental: world-class outdoor active wear designed for women. So she started making it herself.
Today, Kari Traa is Europe’s leading brand for women’s wool and base layers. Our garments are developed with Female First Technology, focusing on fit, comfort and technical performance — combined with plenty of playfulness and colour.

Before Kari Traa became a brand, there was Kari.
Growing up in Voss, surrounded by mountains, snow and a strong outdoor culture, Kari Traa found her playground in the Norwegian landscape. She went on to become and Olympic freestyle skiing champion, winning three Olympic medals - but creativity was always as much a part of her as competition.
Kari started knitting her own beanies because she wanted something different. Something colorful. Something that felt like her. Women wanted what Kari was wearing. And the Kari Traa brand was born.

About Kari Traa
Kari Traa is not just a three-time Olympic medalist, but also the founder of Europe's fastest-growing women's sports brand. Her inspiring story started in the mountainous village of Voss, Norway, where she was born with skis on her feet.
