Berry ice cream

Forget buying those pints of ice cream packed with sugar and other unnecessary ingredients. You can make your own and much healthier version in 60 seconds with your blender. Follow the recipe by The Protein Kitchen and enjoy!

Prep time 5-10 minutes
Recipe for 2-4 people

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250g frozen mixed berries
  • 200g low-fat Greek yogurt / Skyr
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup or sweetener of your choice

PROCEDURE:

1. Blend berries, yogurt and honey/agave syrup in a food processor or a good blender until it becomes a smooth ice-cream. You can add some more yogurt if needed. Serve in a small bowl!

2. Sprinkle over some extra fresh fruit, chopped dark chocolate or chopped nuts.

Tip: Freeze down a banana, and add it together with frozen berries. You can also add a scoop of vanilla protein, of you want the recipe to be high in protein as well.
